While I Am Away! (27/3-4)

Students for Computer Science class may work on the following items while I am out:
1.      Any prior work due for class can be worked on:
a.      MLA Article Summary
b.      MLA Biography Project
c.       MLA Business Proposal
                                                              i.      Worksheet
                                                            ii.      PDF Proposal (MS Word)
                                                          iii.      Business Logo (LogoGarden.com)
iv.      Business Card (LogoGarden.com or MS Powerpoint)
                                                             v.      Product Flyer (MS Powerpoint)

2.      March Madness Brackets (CBS Sports Online) – Online bracket challenge for class.  Use the link online, create an account, then use the group code: “caatech13” to fill out a bracket for the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament.  We are using statistics for MS Excel after the break.

3.       www.codehs.com– Students should have created accounts online to learn to write computer code.  Instructions are on the blog.

4.      www.Udacity.com – Students can create accounts online to take the “college level” Introduction to Computer Science class.  Credit will be given at the end of the year.

5.      www.Freelibrary.org – Students can use information from a presentation yesterday to start, or work on, research for their 8th-Grade projects.  Students should use class time to find new resources, journal entries, and database searches.

6.      Finally, anyone in any Computer Science class can get extra credit by working on the Yearbook.  If they are caught up and want to help, just notify Ms. Cohen and use the time in class or club time to help start photography, layouts, and editing.  Good Luck!

When we return after the break you should be ready to learn about MS Excel, Investing, Payroll, Timecards, Family Monthly Budgets, Architectural Projects, Business Plans and many other exciting topics.  We only have 61 school days until the end of the year and you will need to pass all of your classes to move ahead in June!!

See you all in April!!
